The Town of Grundy Council is the legislative body of the Grundy local government that is responsible for adopting all ordinances and resolutions, approving the annual operating and capital budgets, setting all tax rates, approving the Capital Improvements, setting all user fees, making land use decisions, and establishing long range plans and policies.
The Council, in its legislative role, adopts all ordinances, resolutions and establishes the general policies of the Town. The Council also sets the real estate tax rate, personal property tax rate, lodging tax rate, food tax rate, and approves and adopts the annual operating budget.
The Town Council meets in regular session the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the conference room at the Town Office, 1185 Plaza Drive. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend meetings.
Public Hearings are held to provide an opportunity for citizen input on actions taken by Town Council. Public notice of hearings is published in local paper prior to the public hearing date. Announcements of public hearings are also displayed in the Town Office.
